'Conditional Atonement'
is better term than John Calvin's use of
'Limited Atonement'
Since Jesus Christ is PERFECT GOD AND PERFECT MAN,
JESUS CHRIST's PERFECT BLOOD
can ATONE
for UNLIMITED or INFINITE number of PEOPLE...
YET there is JUST 1 'CONDITION'
THAT IS TO BELIEVE IN JESUS
THE SON OF GOD
was made THE SON OF MAN
and DIED FOR OUR SINS!
John Calvin's 'Limited' is probably referencing
to the 'Limitation due to Condition' because 'those who rejected' GOD's ATONEMENT 'cannot be covered'.
It is then GOD's WILL and NOT MAN's WILL
in Salvation.
John:1:14:
"And the Word[Jesus God
the Son] was made flesh[man],
and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth."
Philippians:2:7:
"But [Jesus God the Son] made Himself of no reputation,
and took upon Him the form of a servant,
and was made [Son of Man] in the likeness of men:"
Hebrews:2:9:
"But we see Jesus,
who was made a little lower than
the angels for the suffering of death,
crowned with glory and honour;
that He[Jesus] by the grace of God should taste death for every man."
John:5:30:
"I[Jesus God the Son] can of mine own self do nothing:
as I hear, I judge:
and my judgment is just;
because I seek not mine own
will,
but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
John:6:38:
"For I[Jesus God the Son] came down from heaven,
not to do mine own will,
but the will of Him[God the Father] that sent me."
James:1:18:
"Of [God the Father's]His own will begat He us with the word of truth,
that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures."
John:1:13:
"Which were born,
not of
blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will
of man,
but of God."
2Peter:1:21:
"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:
but holy men of
God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
Romans:3:11:
"There is none that understandeth,
there is none [NO MAN] that [WILL] seeketh after God."
Yet it is GOD who PRE-DESTINED those who accepted GOD's ATONEMENT because GOD is MERCIFUL too.
It is GOD's own MERCY and GRACE that we who beliEVE can live for EVEr because GOD chose us before the foundation of the world.
Romans:8:29,30:
"For whom He[God the Father] did foreknow,
He[God the Father] also
did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son,
that He[God the Son] might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom He[God the Father] did predestinate,
them He[God the Father] also called:
and whom He[God the Father] called,
them He[God the Father] also justified:
and whom He[God the Father] justified,
them He[God the Father] also glorified."
Ephesians:1:5,11:
"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself[God
the Father],
according to the good pleasure of [God the Father's]His will, ...
In
whom also we have obtained an inheritance,
being predestinated according to the purpose of Him[God the Father] who worketh all things after the counsel of [God
the Father's]His own will:"
Ephesians:1:4:
"According as He[God the Father] hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:"
1Peter:1:20:
"Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world,
but was manifest in these last times for you,"
Praise be to GOD because
of HIS MERCY and GRACE that we are the Called...to be saved!
Romans:9:16:
"So then it is not of him that willeth,
nor of him that runneth,
but of God that sheweth mercy."
Romans:11:32:
"For God hath concluded them all in unbelief,
that He might have mercy upon all."
Romans 1:6:
"Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:"
Romans:8:28:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to [God the Father's]His purpose."
Titus:3:5:
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to [God the Father's]His mercy He saved us,
by the washing of regeneration,
and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"
Hebrews:4:16:
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we
may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need."
Amen!
